VineWorth is an independent technology company founded, built, and operated by one person. The platform automates the analysis and generates every appeal package; its founder is responsible for everything else — from engineering to customer support.

Jake founded VineWorth after seeing how many homeowners overpay on property taxes — not because they lack a case, but because the appeal process is opaque and the traditional alternative surrenders a large share of the savings to a firm. His insight: the comparables analysis a tax professional performs by hand can be done by software — more thoroughly, across an entire assessment neighborhood, at a fraction of the cost.

He designed and built the platform and leads all aspects of the company, from product and engineering to data and customer support.

All company functions are led by the founder. The analysis and package generation are performed by the platform itself, which is what allows a deliberately small company to serve homeowners across Cook County.

A note on company size. VineWorth is a bootstrapped, self-funded, single-founder company — by design. The product is built so that no manual step is required to produce an appeal package: the platform generates each one end to end from public county data. Because the software does the work, the company can serve homeowners at scale without a large staff, and pass that efficiency on as a flat $99 fee.
